Located in midtown Michigan City, Footlight Players has offered the region a cozy and intimate environment to see wonderful productions year-round since 1950. For those seeking a theater that offers an immersive experience, this venue thoughtfully provides that sense of engagement for its guests. When there aren’t any ongoing shows, this location offers other forms of entertainment, including a youth summer program, open mic and karaoke night, and their internally created choral group, ‘The Footnotes’. The theater, though small, is loved in the local community for its dedication to creating incredible productions of both widely loved and popular shows, as well as more niche and less commonly acknowledged ones. Footlight Players’ performances are put on by local actors and staff members, and they showcase the talent and skill that Michigan City residents have to offer.
